Edit a cabinet
Double-click a cabinet, or select it and click Edit face & details.
The editor has live pictures on the left: the face diagram and a 3D preview (Expand for full screen). The settings are on the right. Nothing is saved until you click Save. Cancel throws your changes away.
Give the cabinet its own name (for example Sink base) in the Name box at the top. The name is used on the cut list, part labels and drawings.
The Face tab: doors and drawers
A cabinet's front is a stack of sections, listed top → bottom.
- + Door, + Drawers, + Open: add a section
- ↑ / ↓: reorder
- ✕: remove
- Click a section, either in the list or on the face diagram, to edit it below
No sections means a bare box.
Section contents
| Contents | Settings |
|---|---|
| Door(s) | Door count; Hinge side for a single door (Hinge left (opens right) / Hinge right (opens left)) |
| Drawer stack | Drawer count. Front heights split automatically, or set them yourself |
| False front | A fixed panel, e.g. above a sink |
| Appliance (oven) | A cutout with label, size and clearances. Take these from the appliance's install sheet |
| Open | No front: open shelving |
Each section has a height. A drawer-over-doors base, for example, has a short drawer section on top and a door section taking the rest.
Example: a 4-drawer base. Remove the existing sections, + Drawers, set Drawer count to 4.
Example: a drawer over two doors. + Drawers (count 1), then + Door (count 2). Adjust the drawer section's height.
On a tall cabinet, a fixed shelf goes in automatically wherever a door section meets a drawer section. The door closes against it and the top drawer sits under it.
The Runner line under the 3D preview shows which drawer slide is used, how many pairs you need, and the drawer box depth. Use it when ordering hardware.
The Cabinet tab
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Type | Base, Wall, Tall, Fridge surround, Blind corner (base). Wall is not available on an island or a peninsula |
| Width / Height / Depth / Toe kick | The box size |
| Carcass joinery | Project default, or override for this cabinet: Butt (no dado), Confirmat, Cabineo |
| Finished end | None / Left / Right / Both: the exposed side gets front material |
| Carcass material / Front material | Project default, or a different material for this cabinet (e.g. a painted island) |
| Countertop cutout | None / Sink / Cooktop |
| Shelves | Number of Adjustable shelves (drilled for pins), plus fixed shelves at heights you set |
| Duct through (extractor only) | Top deck (roof / soffit), Back panel (wall vent), or No duct (recirculating) |
| Sides extend below (extractor only) | Both sides run this far past the bottom panel and frame the hood insert, so you don't need a separate painted end panel. The door still stops at the bottom panel, and the cabinet hangs at the same height. Everything on the sides moves up with the box. 0 = sides stop at the bottom panel |
For a painted hood cabinet, set Carcass material to your paint-grade MDF as well, so the sides, top and bottom all come off the MDF sheet.
Move or duplicate
At the bottom, pick a Wall and choose Move here or Duplicate. Save your other changes first: these two actions close the editor without saving them.
Delete
